Lola Van Wagenen is an American international historian, activist, and co-founder of Consumer Action Now, a non-profit educational organization, and Clio Visualizing History, Inc. in the quest to promote history education.

Lola Van Wagenen was born in December 1938 in Provo, Utah, in the United States of America.

Van Wagenen has a degree from Vermont College, a master’s degree from New York University, and a Ph.D. in American history.

She has been an activist for people from all walks of life through her two organizations over the years.

Van Wagenen received public recognition after her marriage to actor and producer Robert Redford with whom she has four children; Amy Redford, James Redford, Scott Anthony Redford, Shauna Redford.
