Nancy Alvarez is an American Journalist and reporter who works for WFTV. She is the co-anchor of the Eyewitness News This Morning and joined the team in May 2010. Nancy started her on-air career at Central Florida News 13 as the Brevard County bureau reporter.

She spent five years in WKMG as a reporter, and she received two Emmy nominations for her work there.

Alvarez announced WFTV’s Eyewitness News This Morning show in early March 2021.

The doctors found a small tumor on her right breast during her annual mammogram. It’s stage one cancer, and there is no indication that it has spread. Alvarez’s cancer is curable and manageable as she had her mammogram on schedule, reports Orlando Sentinel.

Alvarez’s fans are hoping she will be back to her job after battling the illness.
